Fact: Dr. Lynn Stucky has delivered more than $23 billion in property tax relief since 2019
As we gear up for the May 28th Republican Primary Runoff in Denton & Wise County, my opponent (or his billionaire supporters) have started going door-to-door lying about my support for property tax relief in the 2023 legislative session.
They claim I voted against an amendment on a bill that failed to go anywhere during the regular session due to a stalemate between the Senate and House. The door hanger claims I voted against delivering $8 billion in property tax relief (a complete fabrication). More lies from the billionaires backing my opponent and the fake news organization they fund.
I co-sponsored and helped pass the law that gave more than $18 billion in property tax relief to Texans (more than half of the surplus). The attacks on me also fail to mention that I delivered that property tax relief, which included increasing homestead exemptions to $100,000.'
Since 2019, I have delivered more than $23 billion in property tax relief to hard-working Texans. As the Texas Miracle grows, the legislature returns those gains to Texans by increasing the compression on local M&O school taxes. The governor announced earlier this year that Texas is forecasting a $20 billion surplus in the next session, and those dollars will be put toward keeping Texas on a path to eliminating local school property taxes.
Why are they lying? Because they know I have a proven record of delivering solutions on property tax relief, border security, election integrity, protecting children, strengthening families, preserving 2nd Amendment rights, and protecting the right to life. In every session, I deliver significant priorities for my constituents and the people of Texas.
I have been attacked by this same group every election cycle — even before I was ever elected. Now, those same attacks are circulating online. These political operatives lie and spread hateful attacks. These attacks have resulted in threats against my wife and children, damage to my personal property, and death threats against me. They continue to promote and push these lies.
If you are sick of the hateful tactics used by my opponent and those backing his campaign, I need you to get everyone you know in House District 64 to go out on May 28th and vote for me. It is the only way we can beat back these immoral and compromised candidates who continue to surface each election cycle.
