Rep. Stucky retains leadership roles on County Affairs, budget-writing committee

AUSTIN — Today, Texas state Representative Lynn Stucky (R-Sanger) was appointed as Vice Chair of the House Committee on County Affairs. He will also serve on the House Committee on Appropriations and the committee on resolutions. Rep. Stucky offered the following statement in response to his appointments:

"I am honored to continue my service on the important budget-writing committee and leading on county affairs. Being a good steward of taxpayer dollars has always been my top priority as a lawmaker. With a historic surplus, this session presents a unique opportunity for us to invest in the future of our state using one-time funds. I look forward to a robust discussion on how we will fund border security, public safety, education, and more."

This will be the fourth session in which Rep. Stucky has served on the Appropriations Committee, and the third session serving as a committee vice chair. Details on the committee charges are available on the Texas House website.
